Montana Fall

We were robbed a long and glorious summer, but were compensated with a wonderful fall.

The Crazy Mountains…at least I got a pretty view of the Crazies after backing out of a snow-covered road to Ferry Lake. My plans to hike up to Sacajawea Peak were squashed when I almost got stuck on the drive up…there were some 4-low moments and a few bullets sweated out before I found myself in the clear. I knew when I saw a snowboarder coming down at me that it was time to give up on my push to the base…the Tacoma just didn’t have it in her. I guess I underestimated the amount of snow at that time on the north facing mountains.
